In this first module I was introduced to the programming languages, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Through the Codeacademey and W3Schools tutorial, I was taught the structures and elements of the two languages. I also learned how HTML and CSS worked together to create a webpage. That is, HTML controls the actual content and CSS works as the presentation layer of a webpage. Compared to all the other assignments, I found myselfinteractive Codeacademy tutorials the most effective. It was my first time learning a new programming language using an online tutorial and I absolutely loved it. This module's importance was critical due to HTML and CSS having to be used for the rest of the semester for our Assignment Portfolio. Below are my two best assignments from Module 1.

Learning Narrative
This module was completed during my first two weeks in CIS 2336. Thus, aside from HTML and CSS, I was also introduced to the class's structure, Professor Crowley, Codeacademy, W3Schools, and, most importantly, Hostgator's cPanel. Altogether, this module prepared me for the remainder of the course, every week was excited for me, I get to design different website for myself.
